Ramji Raghavan Founder / CEO
Prior to founding Movik, Ramji was the General Manager of the Transport Business Unit of Telsima, where he ran a multi-site organization developing and marketing Ethernet transport and IPTV/WiMax backhaul products. Prior to Telsima, Ramji was the Founder and CTO of Coriolis Networks, where he set the technical vision and product strategy for the company. In his roles at Telsima and Coriolis, he drove several business development and marketing activities and was instrumental in securing partnerships with tier-1 MNCs, multiple tier-1 carrier wins and building a market presence in U.S, Europe, India and Japan. Prior to co-founding Coriolis, Ramji was a group leader in the High Performance Networking Group of Digital/Cabletron, where he directed software development of the GigaSwitch ATM/IP switch team. Previously, he held technical leadership positions in Motorola. Ramji holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and an MS from University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA. back to top
Greg Alden VP of Worldwide Sales and Support
Just prior to joining Movik, Greg was an independent consultant working with several venture capital firms and companies around business strategy and overall optimization. Before that Greg was at Starent Networks, where he was the Vice President and General Manager for the Americas. Greg was responsible for sales, support, service delivery, and overall go-to-market for over 90% of Starent's global revenues. The Americas’ growth was instrumental in Starent's IPO during 2007. Before joining Starent Greg spent 7 years at Cisco (CSCO) most recently as Operations Director, US Mobile Operations where he was responsible for all mobile operators in the United States. The business represented almost $500M per year in annual sales and services to Cisco, as well as, several of their largest service provider accounts worldwide. Prior to Cisco, Greg held sales and sales management positions at Arrowpoint Communications and Compatible Systems both of which were acquired by Cisco. back to top
Ram Krishnan, PhD Founder/VP of Product Management
Prior to Movik, Ram was the GM and Assoc VP of Messaging and USSD of Bharti-Telesoft, a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel, developing Value Added Services for mobile operators. Previously, Ram was the Director of Product Marketing and Business Development for Motorola Core Networks Business Unit, where he managed pre-sales support, product marketing and business development for the Softswitch, IMS, PoC, VoIP, Messaging, FMC and UMA product lines. Prior to Motorola, Ram was the VP Product Marketing and Management for Axiowave Networks. Prior to that, he was the Director of Internetworking products for Lucent, which he joined as part of Lucent’s acquisition of Nexabit Networks. Ram started his professional career at Motorola where he contributed to the DOCSIS and IEEE 802 standards. Ram holds a MS and PhD from the University of Southern California in Computer Engineering and a Bachelor’s from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madrsas. John Calcio Founder/VP of Business Development
Before joining Movik, John was the VP of Business Development and Strategy at Ellacoya Networks, a leading vendor of Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) technology for wire-line and wireless service providers which was recently acquired by Arbor Networks. At Ellacoya, John established and managed all the channel relationships and was instrumental in partnerships with Nokia/Siemens and Alcatel/Lucent. Prior to Ellacoya, John held Director of Business Development roles at Siemens Network Convergence and Juniper Networks (through the acquisition of Unisphere), where he planned, executed and implemented strategic partnerships for these next generation network equipment companies. John holds an MBA from Dartmouth College, as well as an MS and BS in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. back to top
Pramod Kalyanasundaram, PhD VP Worldwide Engineering
Most recently, Pramod was VP of Engineering at 3Com Corporation and responsible for managing distributed global R&D teams and delivering VoIP, Security and next generation product lines for the enterprise market. Prior to that Pramod was a VP of Engineering and a member of the founding management team at Camiant. Under his leadership, Camiant policy control products were successfully certified and deployed in several operator networks worldwide. Previously, Pramod managed distributed R&D teams building products for the service provider market at Lucent, which he joined through the acquisition of Ignitus Communications, a provider of high-speed metro optical communications equipment. Prior to joining Lucent, at Blair Computing, Pramod developed computer telephony software products that have been deployed internationally. Pramod was part of the core team at CDOT, India, which developed PBXs, rural exchanges and Class 5 switches for the Indian market. Surya Kumar Kovvali, PhD Founder/VP of Technology
Kumar most recently was the Chief Scientist of the IPTV business at Big Band Networks, where he was a technical lead for the IPTV Carrier Edge Product Line. Prior to Big Band, Kumar was the Chief Scientist of Telsima, where he led the architecture of IPTV/WiMax backhaul products. Prior to Telsima, Kumar was the Founder & Chief Scientist of Coriolis Networks, where he led the architecture of next generation Packet-aware SONET/SDH platforms. Prior to founding Coriolis, Kumar was a Consulting Engineer at High Performance Network Group at Cabletron Systems & Digital Equipment Corporation. At Digital he led the Architecture of the GigaSwitch ATM and IP product families. Kumar also served as an Architect in the Cluster Architecture (SCA) group at Digital. He was a lead architect for the Digital’s Low-End Cluster architecture (DSSI) where he led FDDI Storage Server & CI-DSSI bridge projects. Kumar holds a Ph.D. from Kansas State University, and a Masters degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. back to top

Before joining Movik, Chip was at Nokia-Siemens, where he worked on a next-generation Media Gateway platform. Prior to Nokia-Siemens, Chip was a technical leader at Telsima, where he was instrumental in building and technically directing a multi-site software engineering team. In his role at Telsima, Chip was involved in architecting a Metro Ethernet / backhaul platform targeted at emerging markets. Chip was a founding engineer and group lead at Coriolis Networks, where he helped drive the software architecture for a next-gen packet-aware SONET platform and helped support deployments in the US, Europe, and Asia. Prior to Coriolis, Chip held various engineering positions at Lucent, Digital and Motorola. He received a BS in Computer Science from University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and an MS in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. back to top
Sandeep Agarwal VP, India Engineering
Prior to joining Movik, Sandeep was Director of Engineering, Sonus India where he led the India Development Center for Sonus’ flagship GSX / NBS, ASX, PSX and DSI product lines. In addition to providing Operational leadership to the India organization, he helped coordinate and deliver multiple software releases across multiple geographies for Sonus’s market-leading products. Before Sonus, Sandeep was Director of Technology of Sonim Technologies, a VoIP/PoC company, where he assisted in providing a long-term vision for the company. Prior to Sonim, he was at Lucent, where he was Manager, Software Engineering of their VoIP products. Sandeep joined Lucent as part of their acquisition of Ascend Communications, where he held several technical leadership and engineering positions. Sandeep started his career at 3Com.
