Simon Wilson, CEO. Mr. Wilson is Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors for MediaTile, and is responsible for all aspects of the company’s operations, setting strategic and divisional goals, and orchestrating the company’s next growth phase. In his role as CEO, Mr. Wilson’s focus is on increasing MediaTile’s market position and share, international sales, and accelerating growth through a variety of strategic initiatives that include product innovation, partnership expansion, and operational excellence. Mr. Wilson joined MediaTile in January 2008 as COO to streamline its manufacturing and customer delivery systems to meet the growing international demand for its systems. Prior to MediaTile, Mr. Wilson served as CFO and EVP of Operations at SurfControl, a publicly traded internet content security company, providing solutions on appliances and as SaaS. He successfully guided the company through its acquisition by Websense in 2007. Prior to that, he was a partner at KPMG, providing strategic advisory and M&A services to private and public software and IT clients. Mr. Wilson also serves as an independent director and Chairman on the board of M86 Security, a global provider of secure internet gateway solutions.
Heather Whalen, VP North American Sales. Ms. Whalen is responsible for MediaTile’s North American sales strategy, distribution network and segment-based sales teams. With more than 17 years of sales, operations and management experience, Ms. Whalen is focused on building a sales organization to accelerate MediaTile adoption in key market segments and within enterprise accounts. Prior to joining MediaTile, Ms. Whalen held various leadership positions at Symon Communications, Cingular Wireless, AT&T Wireless and Xerox Corporation, where she designed and implemented sales management processes and built award-winning national sales teams. Ms. Whalen also serves as a long-time youth mentor and tutor, and was awarded Mentor of the Year in her Connecticut community for 2007-2008. She received her BA in Psychology and Biology from Western New England College.
Michael Foster, Co-Founder & CMO. Mr. Foster is responsible for MediaTile’s worldwide marketing strategy, go-to-market campaigns, product marketing, partner programs, publicity and web activities. Mr. Foster has more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of marketing, including corporate, brand, product and service. He has defined and developed new product categories and sub-categories, and created leadership positions for a variety of products and services in market segments including digital signage. Prior to joining MediaTile in 2003 as a founding member, Mr. Foster held executive marketing positions in publicly-traded software and services companies including Progress Software Corporation and SCO Inc., and with startups in the SaaS, and software development space. Mr. Foster holds a dual degree in Business Administration and Electrical Engineering Technology from Michigan Technological University.
Roger Sanford, Executive Producer, VP MediaServices. Mr. Sanford is responsible for all aspects of the MediaServices group. That includes heading up Return On Message®, Pilot Programs and special projects. In his role as Executive Producer, he is working with Agencies and clients to set digital signage strategy and goals. Mr. Sanford’s focus is on increasing MediaService’s market position, awareness, revenue and share. Prior to MediaTile, Mr. Sanford was a marketing and brand practitioner for over 25 years. Providing compelling & innovative programs for Fortune 100/ Global 500 including AMEX, Apple, AT&T, BT, Chevron, eBay, Epson, Ford, HP, IBM, Intel, Kodak, Mercedes-Benz, Match.com, Nokia, PGP, Samsung, Skyy Vodka, Siemens, Sony, UPS, Varian and Volvo. Prior to that, he was CEO of P3M, an entrepreneurial digital agency he founded and grew to $100 Million. He has produced both television and film, including “The Difference” a documentary and is a keynote & guest speaker at venues worldwide.
Michael Sullivan, CFO. As MediaTile’s Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Sullivan is responsible for financial planning, reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations for the company. Prior to joining MediaTile, Mr. Sullivan served as CFO and Vice President of Finance for Digital Island, Inc., a publicly traded company. Mr. Sullivan has also served as VP Operations and CFO for Tut Systems, as Vice President of Finance and CFO of Macfarms International, and Senior VP of Finance and CFO for Zemco, a manufacturer and distributor of electronic automotive accessories. Mr. Sullivan has extensive experience with technology start-ups, providing financial and operational consulting services. He has owned and operated his own public accounting firm and consulted for several large firms in technology, health care and other industries. Mr. Sullivan is a licensed CPA, an AICPA member, and is licensed to practice accounting in California and Oregon. Mr. Sullivan earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley
