Nisan Gabbay - CEO and Co-Founder
As co-founder and CEO, Nisan oversees all non-technical functions at Sociable, including product management, business development, and finance. Prior to co-founding Sociable, Nisan worked in venture capital at Sierra Ventures, where he focused on Internet investments. Nisan has been working in technology as a management consultant, venture capitalist, and product manager for the last 10 years. Nisan graduated with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from UC Berkeley. In his spare time, Nisan is the author of a popular blog (www.startup-review.com) that discusses key success factors for Internet start-ups, and is an avid horse racing fan who has been to the Kentucky Derby each of the last 11 years.
Matthew Fremont - Lead Engineer and Architect
Matthew has primary responsibility for the design and development of the Sociable application and system architecture. He brings to the team a broad base of experience in the design, development, and optimization of complex systems. Prior to Sociable, Matthew lead the engineering team at MetaMarkets, and was a sought-after expert in object-oriented technology and system scalability and performance for Accenture's Fortune 100 client projects. Matthew received a BA from St. John's College in Annapolis, MD. When not at work, Matthew can often be found on the water, kiteboarding at one of the many windy spots on the coast near San Francisco.
Hilary Karls - Senior Engineer
Hilary is primarily responsible for developing the Sociable frontend. She enjoys considering both the business and technical aspects of product discussions. Hilary comes to Sociable from Google, WiserEarth and the Clean Tech Open. She has a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT and a BA in Economics from Wellesley. When she’s not coding, she explores her artistic side through photography.
