JOB DESCRIPTION:
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the accurate flow of production and inventory information into and out of the ERP System (Oracle). Additionally, this person will have responsibility for other data entry transactions related to production, inventory, and shipping/receiving as necessary. This is a 40-hr/week job; however, overtime (occasionally on weekends) may be required. This job is situated in an active manufacturing facility.

Don Young has been the President, Chief Executive Officer and member of the board of Aspen Aerogels since November 2001. For nearly 10 years, Mr. Young worked in the United States and abroad in a broad range of senior operating roles for Cabot Corporation, a leading global specialty chemical company. Prior to Cabot Corporation, Mr. Young worked in the investment business at Fidelity Management & Research. He brings to Aspen Aerogels a unique blend of expertise in leadership, operations, sales and marketing and finance. Mr. Young is a graduate of Harvard College and earned an MBA at Harvard Business School.
John Fairbanks joined Aspen Aerogels as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer in October 2006. For more than 10 years, Mr. Fairbanks was a Senior Vice President of New England Business Service, Inc. (NEBS) and served as Treasurer, Chief Financial Officer and in several senior operating roles for the company during his tenure. Immediately prior to joining NEBS, Mr. Fairbanks was Vice President and Treasurer of M/A-Com, Inc. and held a variety of finance and treasury related positions with M/A-COM and Dennison Manufacturing Company throughout his career. Mr. Fairbanks earned a B.A. in Economics from Middlebury College and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Kevin Schmidt has been the Vice President, Manufacturing Operations at Aspen Aerogels since June of 2004. He has 19 years of experience in manufacturing and leadership positions. Prior to joining Aspen Aerogels, Mr. Schmidt worked for the Dow Chemical Company as a plant and site leader on global business and operational teams. His manufacturing experiences are over a broad range of business platforms including polyurethanes, polystyrene, thermoplastics, polyethylene packaging, consumer products and pharmaceuticals. Mr. Schmidt holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
Harry Walkoff is Vice President, Sales and Marketing. He leads Aspen Aerogels' growth in oil and gas production and processing applications. Mr. Walkoff graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with a BS in Geophysical Engineering. He has more than 20 years of experience in engineering, technical sales and marketing management, most recently as Vice President of Marketing for FOAMGLAS and Glass Block products with Pittsburgh Corning Corporation.
Dr. George Gould has been the Director of Research of Aspen since its inception in 2001. Prior to joining Aspen, Dr. Gould was employed by the company's predecessor, Aspen Systems. Dr. Gould is a widely recognized authority on aerogels, is the inventor of several patented aerogel products, processes, and applications, and has authored a wide range of aerogel-related papers. Prior to joining Aspen Systems, he was a chemistry professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Gould has a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Yale University and did his post-doctoral training at the Brookhaven National Laboratory.
Seth Canter has been the Vice President, Human Resources since October of 2005. Prior to joining Aspen Aerogels as Director of Human Resources in April of 2004, Mr. Canter spent 25 years with New England Business Service, Inc., a 4,000 employee business forms provider. While a member of the Human Resources group he held a variety positions, notably in Training and Development, Compensation and Benefits, Employee Relations, Facility HR Management and, most recently, as the Director of Corporate Human Resources. Mr. Canter earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Southern Maine and a Masters of Business Administration from Rivier College with a concentration in Human Resources Management.
Michael O'Connor is Vice President, Europe B&C. He leads Aspen Aerogels' growth in the international building & construction market. Mr. O'Connor graduated from the University of Nottingham, UK, with a BSc in Mechanical Engineering. He has more than 20 years experience in sales and marketing management, most recently with the Dow Chemical Company.
