New release eliminates VM sprawl and underutilized systems and delivers unparalleled transparency into IT operations.September 2 2009- VMworld San Francisco- Hyperformix a market leader in capacity management solutions today announced a significant new release of its flagship Hyperformix Capacity Manager that sets a new standard for organizations seeking to maximize their investments in server virtualization. Capacity Manager delivers advanced capabilities for planning the initial migration to virtualization for safely maximizing server utilization in existing virtualized landscapes and for guaranteeing the performance of workloads and business services.
Server virtualization holds great potential for reducing IT costs but also further complicates data center environments that are already struggling to consolidate servers networks and storage. Hyperformix has applied over a decade of industry-leading capacity management expertise to deliver this release which complements hypervisor functionality by automatically identifying under- and over-utilized resources and accurately predicting business service performance as workloads grow. The advanced virtualization reporting capabilities of Capacity Manager allow IT operations teams to easily communicate acceptable deployment options and the costs to provision business services to application owners helping them to proactively reduce the costs to run IT.
"Many of the worlds largest organizations count on Hyperformix to deliver business results from their virtualization initiatives" said Bruce Milne Hyperformix Vice President of Products and Marketing. "IT operations teams are under duress to deliver business services but at the same time to reduce capital expenditures and operating expenses from the IT environment. Hyperformix goes beyond workload and VM placement to ensure that end-to-end response time objectives for every business function are met. This powerful capability spans all types of hardware components and hypervisors."
