Robert S. Collins, Chief Executive Officer Rob is a solutions-oriented entrepreneur and attorney with a long history of helping privately held companies from inception through exit, providing business and legal advice throughout the lifecycle of many growing companies. He possesses proven professional and practical legal and business experience in strategic business planning, business development, client and partner management, technology commercialization and complex technology and corporate transactions. Throughout his 15 years as a technology attorney, most recently as an equity partner at a large Baltimore law firm, Collins has counseled numerous early-stage and established technology companies on legal and business issues, helping them to navigate the complex path of corporate structuring and growth, technology commercialization, partnerships and alliances, and successful exits.
Collins is actively involved in the technology community both through his legal practice, Collins Technology Law, and personally as member of the Board of Directors of the Chesapeake Regional Tech Council. Collins also serves as a non-legal advisor to start-up companies and serves on the Board of the Severna Park Community Center.
Dr. Jeffrey Gelfand, Founder and President Jeff brings both entrepreneurial spirit and experience as well as significant insight into the needs of orthopaedic surgeons. Dr. Gelfand is a fellowship-trained upper extremity surgeon with over 16 years of surgical experience. He has performed over 5,000 surgical procedures of the upper extremity. He is currently the managing partner of a large, successful orthopaedic surgery practice.
Gelfand is also the Founder and CEO of The Helping Hands Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that provides humanitarian relief to the developing world. The foundation has established programs that allow orthopaedic surgeons to travel to developing regions to educate and train local surgeons. The foundation also brings 2-3 children each year to the United States for reconstructive procedures that are unavailable in their native countries.
