Evaluation based on completeness of vision and ability to execute on that vision
Austin Texas - (Nov. 17th 2009) - Troux Technologies Inc. the leader in Strategic IT Planning and Control software today announced it has been positioned by Gartner Inc. in the leaderââ¬â¢s quadrant in the Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Architecture Toolsââ¬â¢1 report. The Magic Quadrant placements are drawn from rigorous evaluation around two primary axes: completeness of vision and ability to execute.
ââ¬ÅIn my opinion our position in the leaders quadrant is largely due to our unrelenting focus on the Strategic IT Planning market serving the intersecting needs of IT and business planning and in tightening our integration with strategic partners within the market ecosystemââ¬Â said David Hood CEO of Troux Technologies. ââ¬ÅWe feel this is an excellent milestone but we wonââ¬â¢t rest on our laurels. We are accelerating our innovation and market expansion programs as we help even more companies use Troux to make significant business impact and lead transformational change.ââ¬Â
The report summarizes recent market conditions as follows ââ¬ÅDespite the recent challenging economic climate the adoption of EA tools has continued to increase significantly with most of the vendors reporting revenue growth of greater than 20% in 2008 as well as growth throughout 2009. The richness of the tool capabilities continued to increase particularly in those related to the management of EA and the exchange of information with other tools.ââ¬Â
The report then continues ââ¬ÅItââ¬â¢s not just the software but how the software will fit into the existing and future ecosystem of the enterprise that matters.ââ¬Â

Troux Announces Record Q1 Growth Extends Leadership in Strategic IT Planning Software
Growing Demand from Corporate and Federal IT Departments Facing Urgent Change
Austin Texas - (Apr. 22nd 2009) - Troux⢠Technologies Inc. the leader in Strategic IT Planning and Control software today announced a record quarter ending March 31 2009. Since 2006 Trouxââ¬â¢s revenues from sales of its industry-leading Strategic IT Planning platform and applications have grown by over 400%. Trouxââ¬â¢s continued revenue growth places it in the top 10% of privately held software companies.
As corporations around the globe face unprecedented challenges IT departments are fueling demand for more efficient and effective ways to strategically optimize IT and be ready for business growth. This relatively new class of enterprise software called Strategic IT Planning and Control software assists IT departments in pulling together the information and teams required to drive strategic cost restructuring and business change initiatives.
ââ¬ÅStrategic IT Planning software is playing a critical role in helping corporations adjust to the almost constant change thrust upon them by the rapidly shifting global economyââ¬Â said David Hood CEO of Troux Technologies Inc.
ââ¬ÅThe amount of transformation necessary to align a global IT organization in response to a sudden business contraction or restructuring can be overwhelming. Often IT is expected to adjust overnight so that business can resume ââ¬Ëas usualââ¬â¢ the next dayââ¬Â continued Hood.
Strategic IT Planning and Control Software makes these rapid transformations possible by providing the insight and information necessary to uncover new opportunities for IT consolidation and standardization across businesses and faster responses to business needs.
A March 2009 Forrester report titled ââ¬ÅTools For IT Planningââ¬Â states ââ¬ÅStrategic planning is more difficult than everââ¬Â¦Planning tools are a dream come true to planning teams and CIOs. Having such a wealth of information in one place in a format that allows for the data to be easily manipulated and compared is a desire of all IT organizations across all decision-making processes.ââ¬Â
In the same report Troux Technologies was recognized as one of the ââ¬Åclear leadersââ¬Â of the market.
AMD a leading global technology company has been a Troux customer for several years. AMD initially used Troux to establish an Enterprise Architecture Repository and a standards management program. Recently and as part of a larger strategic initiative AMD turned to Troux 8 and Troux Alignment to provide transparency and improve communication with the business by linking the repository data to business processes.
ââ¬ÅWe are using Troux to deliver valuable insight into our application portfolios from a business process perspective. With Troux we are also creating customized dashboards and reports to enable IT and the business to better plan and execute strategic initiatives across the companyââ¬Â said Tannia Dobbins Enterprise Architect within the Strategy & Architecture group for Advanced Micro Devices Inc.
ââ¬ÅTroux leadership is being extended by our business partners across the industryââ¬Â said Matt Price vice-president of worldwide marketing for Troux. ââ¬ÅThese partnerships are an ideal way for Troux to extend its reach with complementary software and services all to the benefit of customers who rely on partners to simplify deployments.ââ¬Â
Partner developments in Q1 2009 include:
Â
During the most recent quarter Trouxââ¬â¢s global customer community continued to grow. Troux added dedicated resources and a new office in the Asia Pacific territory and added specialist resellers Rubik to serve the Nordic countries Formalis in Turkey and SHIFT for Middle East.
Also recently The Butler Group a leading UK-based IT research firm conducted an in-depth technology review of Troux 8. As a result of the audit Butler Group deemed Troux 8 ââ¬Åan impressive solution that is well aligned with the requirements of large distributed and decentralized organizationsââ¬Â.
The audit also states ââ¬ÅButler Group believes that the combination of modeling and analytics capabilities is the way forwardââ¬Â¦Trouxââ¬Â¦provides modules which are specifically aimed at the most common IT governance challenges and analytics capability that provides the tools for capturing and using the data from systems that run the IT organization.ââ¬Â
