David Weisberger (CEO), was the founder and Managing Member of Watch Hill Investment Partners LLC and Watch Hill Management Partners LLC, the investment management companies for the Watch Hill family of mortgage derivative hedge funds. Launched in 1994, Watch Hill Fund, L.P. was the first of six mortgage derivative hedge funds and four privately managed accounts that the investment company operated through September 2006. The average net investment returns produced by these entities during this period was in excess of 20%, with assets under management exceeding one billion dollars annually. In 1997, Worth Magazine voted Watch Hill Fund, L.P. one of the Top 30 Hedge Funds in the World. Since exiting the hedge fund space in 2006, Mr. Weisberger has provided consulting services to the financial services industry. Prior to starting the original Watch Hill Fund, L.P. in 1994, Mr. Weisberger was a Managing Director at Prudential Securities Inc. in the Mortgage and Asset-backed Capital Division from 1987 to 1994 as the managing officer of the Financial Strategies Group, the firms’ fixed-income analytics and technology group. Prior to joining Prudential Securities, Inc., Mr. Weisberger worked at EF Hutton & Co., Inc. as a First Vice President of the Management Information Systems Department from 1979 to 1987. Mr. Weisberger holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from The American University, Washington, D.C.
Norman Epstein (Chairman and Founder), is one of Wall Street’s most respected leaders. Mr. Epstein was a founder and Chairman of ILX Systems, a Thomson (NYSE: TOC) company that became the largest vendor of North American equity data, with 180,000 workstation users, and Chairman and CEO of BETA Systems, a company that Mr. Epstein was instrumental in acquiring for Thomson / ILX, and which grew from processing 40,000 to 650,000 trades per day under his leadership. Prior to ILX and Beta, Mr. Epstein was a Director of EF Hutton and sat on its eight-person executive management committee. He has served as a Director of the Chicago Board Options Exchange and on the executive committees of the Security Industry Automation Corp and the Security Industry Association and served as Chairman of the New York Stock Exchange Competitive Review Committee and for ten years as a member of the NYSE Market Performance Committee. Mr. Epstein holds a B.A. from the City College of New York. Clifford Ribaudo (CTO), was VP of New Business Development and Executive Committee member at ILX Systems. Prior to ILX, he was CEO and co-founder of Inmark Development Corp. which merged with and went public under the name of Rogue Wave Software (Nasdaq: RWAV). He currently serves as VP and CFO of two non-profit corporations and is an investor in and advisor to several Technology startups. Cliff received a B.S. in Economics from Colgate University. John Knox (Managing Director, Sales and Marketing), has more than 25 years of Sales and Trading Experience on Wall Street. Most recently, John was a Managing Director at Bear Stearns & Co in the Institutional Equities Divison for 11 years, where he was responsible for covering large institutional investors and Hedge fund Clients. He was also actively involved with development and marketing of Bears Electronic trading Platform. John also spent 12 years as a fixed income trader with Eastbridge Capital, Wertheim Schroder and Manufacturers Hanover Trust. John attained a B.S. in Finance from Lehigh University. Richard Schweiger (Chief Operating Officer, Beacon Capital Markets, LLC), was a management consultant with Booz-Allen & Hamilton and Tefen USA, and Vice President of Strategic Planning and Client Services for Etrana, Inc, an e-commerce software company. Richard has an MBA in Finance and Marketing from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania as well as a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Chicago.
David Audley (EVP, Strategic Planning and Founder), has been Chief Technology Officer for the Tiger and Clinton Group hedge funds as well as for Merrill Lynch’s Global Securities Research division. He has been Chief Investment Officer at the Watch Hill mortgage hedge fund and Managing Director of the Financial Strategies Group of Prudential Securities. David has a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and Engineering from Johns Hopkins University where he is currently Lecturer in Financial Mathematics.
